Christmas is a time to be with friends and family, and this year we are on a journey. With our Church being rebuilt we are meeting at the Parish Hall and the Church of England Primary School in Lydiard Millicent.
Two thousand and twenty four years ago years ago, a young couple Joseph betrothed to Mary had to find some where they could make sure Mary safely give birth to their first Child. Born in Bethlehem, placed in manager Jesus was taken care of by an unlikely mix of Shepherds watching their flock, Angels and Jesus’s parents. This year the news has been full of change; US elections , floods in Europe and a new government in the UK. It was ever the case! Change and challenge and celebration, all mixed together. This year we are giving all the collections at our Christmas services to the Swindon night Shelter who care for those who have no home. Come, we invite you and celebrate with us, as we journey with Jesus, the one who literally “pitched his tents amongst us “ as John 1.14 tells us.
John 1:14 (New International Version):
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
